Are You Just Storing Holiday Decorations or Are You Using Them?

Compared to how many holiday decorations you store, how many decorations do you actually put up year round?  I'm referring to ALL holidays..... Spring/Easter, Patriotic Holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas to name a few!  Several clients I have assisted in getting organized have had an abundance of holiday decorations, many that they said they weren't even using anymore.

These types of items take up a lot of storage space so it's a good idea to go through them every couple of years and get rid of the ones you are no longer using.  You can check with family to see if they want them, sell them in a garage sale or donate them.  The key is using your storage space for items you want to keep/use.  Just think for a minute how much storage space you could gain if you thinned out the holiday items you no longer use.
